Rock the Vote Brochure

After seeing Shrek II or is it Shrek 2 tonight, we went to Ben and Jerry’s. While there I picked up a brochure from Rock The Vote.

While enjoying my Phish Food, I read the following information from the brochure:

Most young adults have no allegiance to one specific party. In 2000, 48% of voters aged 18 to 29 voted for Al Gore and 46% voted for George W. Bush. Today 38% of college undergraduates are Independent/Undecided, 31% Republican; and 27% Democrat. The source for this information is Voter News Service and Harvard IOP Study.

I can’t believe that more young people identify themselves as Republicans then Democrats. This is really sad news.

Hopefully this trend will change in 2004 and the Democrats will have a larger
